First dropLinen sheets & throws
Linen is the first drop. Flax linen sheets, stonewashed sets, and linen throws are what the crew is sitting with right now, and Thrum is leading.
What Thrum looks for
Air through the weave. Thrum wants flax linen sheets that still breathe after the wash story settles, and European flax or stonewashed linen that hums instead of feeling sealed.
Queen and king sheet sets get the same check as a single pillowcase. Linen throws need weight that doesn’t turn stiff. Organic linen gets a look when the merchant lists it clearly.
Are linen sheets worth it?
It depends on how you sleep. Linen has a looser, slightly textured hand at first and usually softens as it gets washed. A lot of people who sleep warm like how it breathes.
If you want something smooth and crisp from the first night, a cotton sheet may suit you better. Organic cotton has its own lane here.
How to wash linen sheets
Start with the care label from the merchant. Most linen does fine on a gentle, cool or lukewarm wash with mild detergent, then a line dry or a low tumble. Skip bleach.
A few wrinkles are normal. Thrum calls them part of the ring.
Linen vs cotton sheets
Linen comes from flax. It feels more open and textured. Cotton is smoother and comes in more weaves. Both are natural fibers, and both have a place on this bed: linen now, organic cotton later.
